Supporting New Staff in Primary Care


This resource pack is intended for use by PCT pharmacy staff to help them in supporting the induction and initial development of any new staff members who are involved in the delivery of pharmacy services in PCTs.

 The purpose of the pack is to:

  • provide guidance to employers to develop a comprehensive induction plan
  • provide guidance to new employees to allow them to take more responsibility for their initial learning

The Induction Plan Proforma contained within the pack is a simple planning tool to help prioritise training needs and customise an induction plan. It is available as an Excel spreadsheet which can be used in addition to or instead of the proforma within the pack and can be downloaded here as a separate document.
